Both tangible and intangible cultural treasures are in peril, but the focus has been on the tangible heritage - architecture and landscapes in particular. Most endangered are intangible cultural treasures in developing societies. The uncontrolled development of tourism is one among many threats. No two World Heritage Sites are alike, but all share common problems such as the need for a delicate balance between visitation and conservation. All are national flag carriers, symbols of national culture and character. Most are major cultural tourism attractions of their country and some (such as Stonehenge, the Pyramids, the Great Wall of China) are powerfully evocative symbols of national identity, universally recognized. World Heritage must be safeguarded - both to maintain its authenticity and to preserve it for future generations. Conflict of goals Heritage - that which is passed from generation to generation Basic underlying principle: maintenance and preservation Tourism - modern phenomenon of mobile leisure time Basic underlying principle: consumerism 以下是該教授的個人信息🤵: Prof. Dr. Kurt Luger Department of Communication Transcultural Communication Division University of Salzburg 薩爾茨堡大學傳播學系跨文化交際學專業
